The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá and lake Guatavita

Har litt etterslep på bloggen etter en "todagers", men er nå igjen tilbake på beina :-).

Så var det igjen tid for litt turisutflukter. Destinasjonene var steder Esther-Lill og jeg har besøkt tidligere, men som vi ønsket at de besøkende også skulle få oppleve. Tirsdag dro vi derfor til Saltkatedralen og innsjøen Guatavita. I've fallen a little behind with the blog because of a two-day influenza, but is now back on my feet :-).

Then it was time again for some tourist excursions. The destinations was familiar for Esther-Lill and me but we wanted the visitors to experience them as well. Therefor on Tuesday we went to the Salt Cathedral and lake Guatavita. En ting som gjorde turen mer interessant er at vi hadde en annen guide enn forrige gang. Det gjorde at vi fikk litt ny og annerledes informasjon og dermed variasjon. Også rekkefølgen på besøkene ble gjort om på underveis. Denne gangen dro vi først til katedralen. Dette var ikke planlagt, men ble gjort fordi veien til katedralen plutselig var blitt stengt grunnet et sykkelløp. Ingen visste om dette, ei heller de bussene som normalt kjører strekningen.

One thing which made the trip more interesting is that this time we had another guide than earlier and got a little new and different information and thereby variation. Also the order of the attractions we visited were changed as we went along. This time we visited the cathedral first. This was not planned though but was done because the road to the cathedral suddenly had been closed due to a cycle race. Nobody knew about this not even the buses which normally drives here.

En annen ting som var annerledes var at de i katedralen jobbet for tiden med å innstallere ny lyssetting i katedralen. Dette gjorde at noen steder kom detaljene bedre frem, mens andre steder var det bekmørkt. Ut fra det jeg kunne se av arbeidet så langt var resultatet så bra ut.

Another thing which were different was that they worked in the cathedral with installing new light setting. Some places the details were clearer but other places it was pitch black. So far the result of the work looked great.

Dette er første gangen vi har besøkt innsjøen og hatt så godt vær. Tidligere har det enten regnet litt eller vært overskyet. Dette var nok en vellykket tur til innsjøen.

This is the first time we have visited the lake and had a good weather. Earlier it have either rained or been cloudy. This was yet another successful trip to the lake.
